With luxury oceanfront casitas, a café, private beach club, and holistic offerings including reiki, yoga, and curated retreats, Ix Chel invites you to relax, unwind, and reconnect in paradise.
Our Story
In 2019, founders Ryan and Tiffany Lewis created Ix Chel Wellness Resort on Ambergris Caye, Belize to give travelers a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Designed as a boutique eco-luxury retreat, Ix Chel offers guests the space to restore balance in a beautiful and serene setting. Physical and mental well-being are essential to living a healthy life, and our resort provides the environment and guidance to strengthen body, mind, and soul through nature, rest, and holistic practices.
Founders
Ryan and Tiffany Lewis are high school sweethearts from Southern California who always dreamed of moving to a tropical island where they could welcome friends and family. Just before COVID-19, both were struggling with health challenges and the balance of daily life. After Tiffany underwent major surgery and Ryan experienced a profound spiritual awakening, they decided it was time to live out their dream. While searching for property, they discovered Ambergris Caye, Belize, and instantly fell in love with the culture and the opportunity to create a space for others to reconnect with themselves. They purchased land near Secret Beach and began building what is now Ix Chel Wellness Resort, a boutique eco-luxury sanctuary for rest and renewal. On their first visit to the island, Tiffany asked the Mayan goddess Ix Chel for a sign that this was meant to be a place of healing. Later that day, a double rainbow appeared over Secret Beach, affirming the vision that has guided Ix Chel ever since.
